Would I consider another brand? Nope, no way! There's a reason, FORD is an American company (RAM is owned by FIAT), GM uses an asian motor (Duramax), the powerstroke is American made, designed, engineered, and built in the USA.

Now for the best part, the price difference from 2015 to 2019, sticker price to sticker price, $4,500 difference, plus the 2019 gave me more features than the 2015. Now I've owned FORD trucks since 1977, having friends who own Chevy and Ram diesels, in which they have problems with the bed cracking and the interior parts falling off, none of my FORDs ever had these problems. My second trailer is a 12,000# tilt flatbed, pulling a CAT skidsteer and two attachments from AZ to Fl, without even breaking a sweat. I pull a 40'-0' fifth wheel tri-axle toy hauler, weighing in at 15,000#, passing every Cummings and Duramax up every hill. As for towing, well, the 6.7 tubo diesel is a monster. The 2015 gave me an average mpg on the highway between 16-19, the 2019, with 2,000 miles gives me an average of 22 Mpg! This is based on driving at 75 Mph with cruise control on (Arizona). The difference between 4 years is amazing, same trim levels of XLT, with the 2019 having far more features than the 2015.

This is my second superduty, my first was a 2015 XLT F-250 4WD 6.7, my new one is the 2019 XLT F-250 4 WD 6.7. With the trailer on it rides great but not loaded the suspension is hard.If Ford worked on more comfortable seating and empty load ride characteristics, this would be a perfect truck! The ride is stiff when the truck is empty. Seats are hard and I actually have a seat cushion that I use for longer trips. Interior is roomy, quite and even though I got the premium XLT package overall accompaniments are very nice. Because of my older truck, I have a weight distribution hitch, but I really do not need it since the F250 has the capacity with out it. Braking is great and I always feel under control. I travel a lot in the mountains of NC and the truck has no issue pulling my trailer through the grades (Saluda grade for instance) generally settling in at 4th gear (6 speed trans) and 3400 RPM.my older RAM would be in 3rd gear and 4200. Towing my travel trailer is averages 11-10MPG on flat terrain and about 8-9 in the mountains. On the highway at or slightly above posted highway speeds I average about 16MPG.

NEVER needed to go back to the dealer for warranty work. Other than regular maintenance, I have not had any issues with the truck. I have had the truck for 11 Months now and I have 21K miles on the odometer. What landed me on the Ford was a slightly better fit and finish and the price of the Ford for a comparatively equipped RAM was lower! I looked at the RAM 2500 and the Ford F250, both gas powered trucks and each had it pro's and cons. Nothing wrong with the Ram other than it has 180K and I did not want to take it on long trips with my 31' 9800lb Travel Trailer.

Bought this truck to replace my older RAM 1500 HD MegaCab with Hemi.
